Here it is nearly mid-October which means 2013 is rapidly winding down but we haven’t slowed our business operations in the slightest bit. Environmental consulting has many unique aspects that many other business industries don’t encounter, but when it comes to basic business strategy things aren’t all that different. At Blackhawk we continue to set ourselves apart from our competitors by going further, working harder and faster, and acquiring new skills and certifications to bring a superb product to our clients.
I’m proud to announce that the US Department of Veterans Affairs Administration has certified Blackhawk Environmental as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). This is a monumental achievement for us, and much like the State of California DVBE certification it will undoubtedly open new doors that are chalked full of federal business opportunities. Executive Order 13360 directs that at least three percent of all federal agencies’ contracting dollars go to businesses owned by service-disabled veterans, not to mention certain contracts are set-aside specifically for SDVOSBs.
So let the real work begin. We’re ready to tackle new challenges, push out to new limits, and continue grinding in order to be the best in the business no matter what the circumstances. All the best to our supporters and hopefully our paths cross soon.
